Spotted, fast fashion brands take your money, again...
When you go to shopping centers, you're likely to come across an extensive range of fast fashion brands that you should steer clear of. Some of the brands to avoid include Forever 21, Zara, Uniqlo, Old Navy, GAP, Topshop, Primark, Victoria's Secret, Guess, Fashion Nova, Boohoo, Pretty Little Thing, Mango, Nasty Gal, and the list goes on.
However, I'm not here to tell you to not buy from these brands, just to be aware of what is going on behind the scenes
HOW YOU COULD SPOT FAST FASHION: ask your self these questions
- Where are their clothes produced?
- Do they have open supply networks? (Check out the company's website! It's a positive sign if they proudly inform you where their factories are. It's not a good indicator if you have to search through their FAQ page to find it.)
- What kind of materials are they employing? Utilizing natural, renewable, and recycled resources? Do they utilize affordable fabrics?
- How well-made are the clothes? Are they built to endure?
- Does the company sell THOUSANDS of different looks?
- Do new fashions arrive every week?
- Is the outfit very fashionable, and will it be outdated the following year?
- Have you noticed a recent fashion week trend on a store window?
